National Institute Of Ayurvedic Medicine
The National Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine (NIAM) was established in 1982 by Scott Gerson, M.D., whose medical practice has combined Ayurveda (a holistic healing system) and conventional medicine for more than fifteen years. This site describes the basic theories of Ayurvedic medicine, current medical research on Ayurvedic practices, and descriptions of herbal remedies. NIAM also offers workshops and a correspondence course on Ayurvedic medicine. This site contains very little practical information, but is a good resource for curious parties.
